Many refrigerants are regulated under the US Clean Air Act. This policy explains how we sell them.

Who can buy

Refrigerants are sold only to technicians who hold a valid EPA Section 608 or 609 certification.

What we ask at checkout

When your order includes refrigerant, you must enter your EPA certification number and confirm that you hold a valid certification. We keep this information with your order.

Verification

We may ask to see a copy of your certificate before your order ships and may hold the order until we have it. If we cannot verify your certification, we will cancel the order and refund you in full rather than ship it.

Where we can ship

We do not ship refrigerant products to California. Other federal, state or local rules may also apply where you are, and you are responsible for complying with them.

Safe handling and use

Refrigerants are pressurized and hazardous. Follow the manufacturer instructions and the safety data sheet. Knowingly releasing refrigerant into the atmosphere is prohibited by law.

Our right to refuse

We may refuse or cancel any refrigerant sale where we believe the law or this policy would be breached.
